A method of making a pressure bulkhead assembly of an aircraft includes determining an optimized position of a splicing angle iron such that a splicing surface of the splicing angle iron will form a circumferential splicing surface of the pressure bulkhead assembly in an optimized shape. The method further includes performing a virtual fit between the plurality of splice angles in the optimized position and a rear pressure bulkhead. The method further comprises the step of determining the position of a splicing angle steel hole to be drilled in each splicing angle steel in the splicing angle steel, so that the splicing angle steel hole corresponds to a rear pressure-resistant bulkhead hole pre-drilled in the rear pressure-resistant bulkhead. The method further comprises the step of drilling the splicing angle steel holes in the positions of the splicing angle steel holes in each splicing angle steel in the splicing angle steel. The method further includes engaging each of the splice angles with the aft pressure bulkhead such that a splice surface forms the circumferential splice surface in the optimized shape.
