The invention discloses an instrument board suspension type multimedia display screen and a control method thereof, and relates to the field of automobile manufacturing, the instrument board suspension type multimedia display screen comprises a display assembly, a supporting assembly and a suspension assembly, and the display assembly comprises a display screen; the supporting assembly comprises a support and a telescopic control mechanism which controls the front end of the support to stretch into the rear portion of the display screen in a telescopic mode so as to fix the display screen. The suspension assembly comprises an electrified coil which is used for generating magnetic force so as to support the display screen in a magnetic force mode, and the electrified coil is located below the display screen and is spaced from the display screen. According to the invention, display screen suspension in a real sense can be realized, the sense of science and technology and the sense of quality of a whole vehicle cabin are effectively improved, and the product competitiveness is enhanced.
