The invention provides a vehicle control method and device, and relates to the technical field of automatic driving and cloud computing. According to the specific implementation scheme, whether a vehicle meets a planning obstacle condition or not is detected in real time, wherein the planning obstacle condition is a condition that an automatic driving system of the vehicle cannot effectively perform path planning; in response to the fact that the vehicle meets the planning obstacle condition, determining an area where the vehicle is located based on the position where the vehicle is located; based on the located area, whether pre-established path planning information exists is detected, and the path planning information is vehicle information of different areas acquired after manual vehicle operation at historical moments; and in response to detecting that the pre-established path planning information exists, controlling the vehicle to automatically work based on the path planning information. According to the embodiment, the flexibility of automatic driving is improved.
