The invention belongs to the technical field of refrigeration, and particularly relates to a refrigerator car, a refrigerating and freezing unit of the refrigerator car and a defrosting method. The method comprises the following steps that (1) when the evaporator needs to be defrosted, the evaporator enters a defrosting mode so as to defrost a core body of the evaporator; (2) after defrosting of the evaporator core is completed, residual moisture and/or residual ice after defrosting are/is removed through auxiliary electric heating; and (3) after the set time is reached, the auxiliary electric heating is closed to complete the defrosting operation of the evaporator. Compared with the prior art, residual ice containing large particles in defrosting water can be melted, a water outlet is prevented from being blocked or residual water on the surface of an evaporator core body is prevented from being frozen again, electric quantity is not consumed too much, energy consumption loss is reduced, and goods storage in a compartment body is guaranteed.
