The present invention provides a rear wheel steering control system and method of a vehicle, which can steer a rear wheel when an ignition device of the vehicle is turned on in a state in which a front wheel steering angle is generated compared to a conventional rear wheel steering control system and method. Rear wheel steering is gradually performed at a gentle ramp-type slope for a predetermined period of time, thereby preventing rapid steering of rear wheels and eliminating a sense of disparity that a driver feels due to rapid rear wheel steering.
