The invention provides a control device for a power transmission device for a vehicle, which can suppress reduction of power transmitted from an engine to drive wheels when the vehicle travels at a high speed. A power transmission device for a vehicle is provided with: a clutch mechanism that interrupts or connects the transmission of power from an engine from an outer drum to an inner drum; a planetary gear mechanism having a ring gear; a brake mechanism selectively fixed to the ring gear; and a hydraulic pump driven by the engine, in a second travel mode in which the vehicle speed exceeds a set value, the control device for the vehicle power transmission device releases the clutch mechanism to disconnect the clutch mechanism and releases the oil chamber of the brake mechanism to fix the ring gear of the planetary gear mechanism, and in a second travel mode in which the vehicle speed exceeds the set value, the control device for the vehicle power transmission device releases the oil chamber of the brake mechanism to fix the ring gear of the planetary gear mechanism. Power from the engine is transmitted to the drive wheel via a second transmission path including the planetary gear mechanism.

    本发明提供车辆用动力传递装置的控制装置,能够抑制车辆高速行驶时从发动机向驱动轮传递的动力降低。车辆用动力传递装置具有:离合器机构,其切断或连接来自发动机的动力的从外侧鼓到内侧鼓的传递;行星齿轮机构,其具有齿圈;制动机构,其选择性地固定于齿圈;以及液压泵,其由发动机驱动,在车辆用动力传递装置的控制装置中,在车速超过设定值的第2行驶模式中,将离合器机构释放而使离合器机构成为切断状态,并且将制动机构的油室释放而对行星齿轮机构的齿圈进行固定,将来自发动机的动力经由包含行星齿轮机构的第2传递路径向驱动轮传递。
