The invention relates to a method for producing a mold section part of a vulcanization mold for a pneumatic vehicle tire for forming at least one profile block or for forming a generally curved block-shaped structured region of a tread having an outer tread surface, the invention relates to a method for producing a mold section part, which is constructed by means of an additive method, such as selective laser melting, by applying and melting a metal powder layer by layer, flat, on a flat construction plate (10) together with a bottom part (7b) and a molding element, such as a lamella (4) and/or a microlamella (11) and/or a rib and/or the region of the rib, wherein the moulding elements delimit or surround moulding surface elements (12) of an outer surface (12a) of the bottom portion (7b) adjacent to each other having a region forming the tread outer surface. According to the invention, during the additive construction, the moulding surface element (12) is each additively constructed with a uniform flat outer surface (12a) or with two to three outer surfaces (12a) which extend in a stepped manner relative to one another, wherein all the outer surfaces (12a) of the moulding surface elements (12) run parallel to one another and lie on planes lying at different levels with respect to the formation plate (10) such that the arrangement of the outer surfaces (12a) of the moulding surface elements (12) relative to one another substantially approximates the curvature of the region of the tread outer surface to be shaped.
