Provided are: a rubber composition having excellent processability; a silane coupling agent composition from which a crosslinked rubber composition having excellent hardness, viscoelastic properties, and tensile strength can be obtained; and the like. A silane coupling agent composition according to the present invention contains a silane compound represented by formula (1), and a protein denaturant and/or a silanization reaction accelerator.
