The invention relates to a method for assembling at least one ring cooperating by shrinkage with a shrink fitting surface of a component defining a reference axis and having a through axial cavity, the shrink fitting surface being radially remote from the reference axis, the invention relates to a method for assembling a component having a free upper end and an inner wall extending radially towards the reference axis around the reference axis and axially while defining at least a portion of an axial cavity, the method comprising: a step of forming an axially extending spline on the inner wall; a step of shrinking the ring on the shrink fitting surface of the component such that the lower lateral surface of the ring abuts against the shoulder of the component; the assembly method comprises, after the step of forming the spline and before the step of shrinking the ring onto the cold shrink fitting surface of the component, a step of radially elastoplastically expanding the upper portion of the component, which causes a portion of the cold shrink fitting surface and the spline to widen, followed by the shrinkage of the ring on the cold shrink fitting surface causing the upper portion to deform, a portion of the spline is brought close to the reference axis.
