The invention provides a blind area safety decision-making method and device for an automatic driving vehicle, relates to the technical field of artificial intelligence, in particular to the technical fields of automatic driving, computer vision and the like, and can be applied to scenes such as intelligent traffic and smart cities. According to the specific implementation scheme, sensing data around a main vehicle are obtained, and an undetermined blind area is determined according to the sensing data; acquiring a position relationship between the to-be-determined blind area and the main vehicle according to map data so as to determine a target blind area in the to-be-determined blind area; and making a safety decision according to the distance from a target blind area to the main vehicle or the moving speed of the target blind area so as to adjust the speed or the driving lane of the main vehicle. According to the embodiment of the invention, the target blind area can be determined according to the sensing data around the main vehicle, the safety decision is made according to the position relation between the target blind area and the main vehicle, and the speed or driving lane of the main vehicle is adjusted. According to the embodiment of the invention, the safety risk of the main vehicle in the automatic driving process can be avoided, and the safety of automatic driving is improved.
