The invention relates to the technical field of tunnel construction, in particular to a vertical shaft emergency escape system which comprises a vertical shaft arranged on one side of a tunnel, three channels are arranged at the bottom of the vertical shaft, one ends of the three channels are communicated with the tunnel, the other ends of the three channels are communicated with the vertical shaft through a horsehead, one channel is an emergency channel, and the other channel is an emergency channel. A partition plate is arranged on a horsehead of the emergency channel, and a ladder stand is arranged at one end of the partition plate. An upper hanging scaffold and a lower hanging scaffold are hung on the vertical shaft, and the lower hanging scaffold is aligned with the partition plate; the vertical shaft is provided with a cage and a bucket in a hanging mode, and the cage and the bucket are driven by a traction mechanism on the ground. The upper hanging scaffold and the lower hanging scaffold are each provided with a through scaffold hole, so that the cage and the hanging bucket can be arranged on the upper hanging scaffold and the lower hanging scaffold in a penetrating mode through the scaffold holes.
