The invention belongs to the technical field of rotor wing folding, and discloses an automatic rotor wing blade folding and releasing mechanism which comprises a fixed blade clamp, a folding blade clamp, a folding driving mechanism and a locking bolt mechanism, one side of the fixed blade clamp is fixedly connected with a rotor wing shaft, the other side of the fixed blade clamp is provided with a mounting space, a first locking hole is formed in the fixed blade clamp, and a second locking hole is formed in the folding driving mechanism. A second locking hole is formed in the folding paddle clamp; the folding driving mechanism and the locking bolt mechanism are both mounted in the mounting space; a worm wheel, a vertical worm and a driving motor are fixed; the locking bolt mechanism is provided with two telescopic bolts which act synchronously, and each telescopic bolt penetrates through the corresponding second locking hole and the corresponding first locking hole to extend outwards. The automatic folding, retracting and releasing mechanism for the rotor blade is electrically driven, and hydraulic driving and manual driving are not needed. Moreover, the folding driving mechanism and the locking bolt mechanism are both hidden in the mounting space, so that the structure is compact, and the occupied space is small.
