The invention relates to the field of rubber, and discloses modified styrene-butadiene rubber, a rubber composition, vulcanized rubber and a preparation method and application thereof. The modified styrene-butadiene rubber is prepared by mixing styrene-butadiene rubber and a sulfydryl modifier as shown in a formula (1) and performing in-situ grafting modification, and the grafting rate of the sulfydryl modifier as shown in the formula (1) is 0.4-4 mol% based on the total molar weight of an ethylene structural unit in the styrene-butadiene rubber; by adopting the modified styrene-butadiene rubber, the dispersion of the white carbon black in the modified styrene-butadiene rubber can be greatly improved, so that the tensile strength of the vulcanized rubber can be improved, heat generation can be reduced, and the wet skid resistance of the vulcanized rubber can be further improved. Wherein R is alkylene with 1 to 5 carbon atoms.
