The invention discloses a highway passing bottleneck identification and queuing prediction method and system and a storage medium. The method comprises the steps that real-time upstream and downstream traffic flow parameters are acquired, and the traffic flow parameters comprise the passing speed and the flow rate; a bottleneck validity activation condition is set, and bottleneck identification is carried out according to the traffic flow parameters; identifying a persistence of the activation bottleneck over a plurality of consecutive time periods; recognizing a congestion state and a congestion occurrence moment according to the speed change relation; establishing a queuing length prediction method according to the congestion occurrence time; and applying the queuing length prediction method to predict the queuing length of the bottleneck congested road section. According to the technical scheme, the bottleneck position and the duration time can be accurately identified, and the defect that the accuracy of predicting the traffic jam queuing length by an original method is insufficient is overcome.
