A control device 10 for controlling an auxiliary light 12 mounted on a vehicle 14 has a first manually operable user input device (not shown) operable to cause generation of a first signal 18 and a second signal 20. The control device 10 comprises: at least two inputs 22, 24 comprising a first input 22 configured to receive a first signal 18 and a second input 24 configured to receive a second signal 20; an output 26 configured to be operably coupled to the lamp 12 to provide a control signal to cause the driving lamp 12 to light; and a logic circuit 28 coupling each input 22, 24 to an output 26. The logic circuit 28 includes a non-mechano-electronic switch 30 operable to generate a control signal and provide the control signal to the output 26. A logic circuit 28 operates a switch 30 to generate a control signal in response to a first input 22 receiving a first signal 18 and a second input 24 receiving a second signal 20.
