A joystick device for a vehicle. Specifically, the present disclosure generally relates to a joystick device (100) operable to provide speed, direction, and steering commands for controlling a vessel (400). The present disclosure also relates to a marine vessel propulsion control system controlling a set of propulsion units (408, 410, 412 and 414) carried by a hull of a marine vessel (400) wherein the marine vessel propulsion control system is adapted to receive input commands from such a joystick arrangement (100).
