A pneumatic tire for a passenger vehicle according to the present disclosure includes a carcass composed of a ply of cords disposed in a radial direction across a pair of bead portions in a toroidal manner. The pneumatic tire for a passenger vehicle is characterized in that: the cross-sectional width (SW) and the outer diameter (OD) of the tire satisfy a predetermined relationship; the tire is provided with a tread portion, the tread portion is provided with tread rubber, and the rubber thickness of the tread portion is larger than 2 mm and smaller than 5 mm. The tread surface of the tread portion has one or more land portions; and forming, in the land portion, width-direction sipes extending in the tire width direction such that there are two or more width-direction sipes in the ground contact surface.
