The invention discloses an electric automobile starting control method and device, and the method comprises the steps: at each torque calculation moment of an automobile starting stage, if the automobile is in a driving mode at present and the torque state is a rising state, judging whether starting collision protection needs to be triggered or not based on the distance between the automobile and an obstacle in the driving direction; when starting collision protection needs to be triggered, determining a starting collision protection limit value based on the distance; on the basis of the starting collision protection limit value, request torque after torque filtering is obtained; and performing driving control by using the request torque. According to the invention, the safety of driving control can be improved.
