According to the preparation method of the non-quenched and tempered steel wire rod, the strength of steel is improved by designing the reasonable contents of carbon, silicon, manganese and chromium; and meanwhile, nickel and vanadium are added for microalloying, and the strength and plasticity of the steel are further improved through solid solution strengthening and fine grain strengthening. A single LF refining means and a reasonable cooling system after rolling are adopted, so that the wire rod has excellent mechanical properties; by accurately controlling the binary alkalinity of the refining slag and the content of aluminum oxide in the refining slag, the RH refining step is omitted, and the process is simplified.
