The invention relates to spoofing detection for hands on automated driving. According to an exemplary embodiment, a method is provided that includes: obtaining sensor data via one or more sensors of a vehicle; determining, via a processor of the vehicle, a driving style of a driver of the vehicle based on the use of the sensor data over the plurality of time periods; and determining, via a processor, an indication as to whether the driver is attempting to spoofing a control system of the vehicle with respect to the one or more automation features of the vehicle based on the sensor data and the style of the driver.
