Techniques for managing shape memory alloy actuators are described. An example system includes a shape memory alloy (SMA) actuator configured to cause opening of a cabin included in a vehicle, where the SMA actuator includes a wire formed of an SMA material, and where the wire is configured to be adjusted in position or orientation based on a temperature of the wire. The system also includes a controller in communication with one or more sensors, where the sensors are configured to obtain temperature measurements associated with the vehicle. The controller is configured to access a lookup table, where the lookup table maps the temperature measurements to an operating parameter, determine the operating parameter based on the lookup table, and cause implementation of the operating parameter to cause opening of the cabin, where the operating parameter is associated with an adjustment of the temperature of the wire.
