The invention relates to an energy conversion device and an electric vehicle, and relates to the technical field of charging and discharging, the energy conversion device comprises a charging and discharging circuit and a controller, the circuit comprises a power battery used for forming a charging path and a discharging path, a charging and discharging socket, a bidirectional DC/DC module, a first power module, a second power module and a rectification transformation module, the controller is used for selecting one or more bridge arms in the bidirectional DC/DC module and the first power module as PFC modules and selecting a target bridge arm in the first power module and a target bridge arm in the second power module as inversion modules under the condition that the discharging path is switched on, and the controller is used for controlling the PFC modules and the inversion modules when the energy conversion device is in the state of being connected with the charging gun. Acquiring a working mode of the energy conversion device; under the condition that the working mode is the charging mode, the energy conversion device is charged through the charging path; or, under the condition that the working mode is the discharging mode, power is supplied to the outside through the discharging path.
