The invention discloses an intelligent over-current protection method and a charging pile, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining the charging information of an electric vehicle including a required upper limit current and a required current when detecting that a charging gun is connected with the electric vehicle; according to the demand upper limit current and the maximum current upper limit of the charging pile, setting an overcurrent protection threshold value for the intelligent circuit breaker, and entering a charging starting process of the charging pile; and in combination with the intelligent circuit breaker, carrying out over-current protection on charging of the electric vehicle based on the required current and the over-current protection threshold. The intelligent circuit breaker is additionally arranged in the charging pile, the overcurrent protection threshold value of the intelligent circuit breaker is set according to the charging specification of the electric vehicle, and meanwhile, the required current of the electric vehicle is combined, so that overcurrent protection adapting to the charging process of the electric vehicles of different specifications is achieved, and overcurrent caused by the short-circuit fault of the charging pile is greatly avoided; therefore, replacement and maintenance of the charging loop device of the electric vehicle are facilitated.

    本发明公开了一种智能过流保护的方法与充电桩,检测到充电枪与电动汽车建立连接时,获取电动汽车包括需求上限电流以及需求电流的充电信息;根据所述需求上限电流和充电桩的最大电流上限,对智能断路器设定过流保护阈值,进入充电桩充电的启动流程;结合所述智能断路器,基于所述需求电流及所述过流保护阈值,对电动汽车的充电进行过流保护;在充电桩的内部加装了智能断路器,并依据电动汽车的充电规格,对智能断路器的过流保护阈值设定,同时结合电动汽车的需求电流,从而实现适配不同规格电动汽车的充电过程的过流保护,极大避免由于充电桩出现短路故障引起过流,从而导致电动汽车充电回路器件的更换和维护。
