The invention discloses a thermal runaway protection method, device and system for a battery pack, and belongs to the field of new energy vehicles. The method is applied to the thermal runaway protection device in the vehicle, the vehicle further comprises a battery pack and a gas cooling device used for containing cooling gas, the gas cooling device is communicated with an inner cavity of the battery pack, and the gas cooling device is used for discharging the cooling gas into the inner cavity of the battery pack under the condition that thermal runaway happens to the battery pack. The method comprises the following steps: detecting whether the battery pack is subjected to thermal runaway or not; under the condition of thermal runaway of the battery pack, pressure data of the battery pack are obtained, the temperature of an inner cavity of the battery pack is monitored, and the pressure data are used for representing the pressure condition of the inner cavity of the battery pack; and controlling the gas cooling device to discharge cooling gas to the inner cavity of the battery pack according to the pressure data until the temperature of the inner cavity of the battery pack reaches a preset temperature threshold value. The thermal runaway protection effect of the battery pack can be guaranteed.

    一种电池包的热失控防护方法、装置及系统,属于新能源车辆领域。该方法应用于车辆中的热失控防护装置,该车辆还包括电池包和用于盛放冷却气体的气体冷却装置,该气体冷却装置与该电池包的内腔连通,该气体冷却装置用于在该电池包发生热失控的情况下向该电池包的内腔中排放冷却气体。该方法包括:检测该电池包是否发生热失控;在该电池包发生热失控的情况下,获取该电池包的压力数据并监测该电池包的内腔的温度,该压力数据用于表征该电池包的内腔的压力情况;根据该压力数据控制该气体冷却装置向该电池包的内腔排放冷却气体,直至该电池包的内腔的温度达到预设温度阈值。本申请可以保障电池包的热失控防护效果。
