The invention relates to a turnover hoisting device and method for a large-cylinder-diameter low-speed diesel engine SCR reactor, the turnover hoisting device comprises a flange cover with a lifting lug, the flange cover with the lifting lug is installed at the waste gas outlet end of the SCR reactor, the flange cover with the lifting lug comprises a cover plate and the lifting lug, a plurality of fixing holes are formed in the periphery of the cover plate, and the lifting lug is arranged in the cover plate. The lifting lug is used for being connected with the waste gas outlet end through a bolt, and the lifting lug is fixedly connected to the middle of the cover plate and used for being connected with a lifting hook for lifting; and a lifting hook passes through the first lifting lug, the second lifting lug and the third lifting lug of the SCR reactor and the lifting lug of the flange cover with the lifting lug, so that the SCR reactor is overturned between the horizontal position and the vertical position along with the catalyst. The lifting device is simple in structure and convenient to use, each lifting lug is uniformly stressed, the risk that a reactor body deforms in the lifting process and further extrudes and damages a catalyst is avoided, the operation period is shortened, the labor intensity is reduced, the product quality is guaranteed, and the personal safety of operators is guaranteed.
