The invention provides an electromechanical braking control system and method.The system comprises a braking force management module, a driving control module and a motor execution module which are electrically connected, and the braking force management module is used for receiving a braking level instruction from a vehicle management system, converting the braking level instruction into a braking force signal and sending the braking force signal to the driving control module; a braking force signal is sent to the driving control module, and the braking force signal is used for indicating the target braking force needed by each bogie; the driving control module is used for receiving a sensor signal from the sensor system, generating a motor driving signal according to the sensor signal and the braking force signal, and sending the motor driving signal to the motor execution module; and the motor execution module is used for executing electromechanical braking control with the braking force being the target braking force on the vehicle according to the motor driving signal. The device can get rid of dependence on media such as air or hydraulic oil, and the response speed and the environmental protection capacity in the braking process are improved.
