The invention relates to the technical field of control of engineering vehicles, in particular to an overhead working truck boom control method, device and equipment, a storage medium and a program product.The method comprises the steps that when a starting instruction of an overhead working truck boom is received, a preset starting current is output to a hydraulic multi-way valve, the current output to the hydraulic multi-way valve is controlled to be increased from the starting current to a preset starting buffer current, and then the hydraulic multi-way valve is controlled to operate for a preset first duration according to the starting buffer current; and then the current output to the hydraulic multi-way valve is controlled to be increased from the starting buffer current to the target current. Therefore, current control which is not enough to enable the arm support to act can be removed, build-up pressure is reduced, and shaking of a working column is reduced. In addition, inertia enabling of the current output to the hydraulic multi-way valve which is increased from the starting current to the preset starting buffer current can be consumed, and jitter of the work bar is further reduced.
