The invention relates to an overwater battery swap station and a battery swap method thereof. The battery replacing station is provided with a buoyancy position open to the water surface, the buoyancy position is used for being connected with a battery buoyancy cabin to be replaced, and the battery buoyancy cabin can be detachably attached to the buoyancy position so that the battery buoyancy cabin can float on the buoyancy position to facilitate connection of the battery buoyancy cabin. The overwater battery swap station is convenient to arrange, and can be conveniently and quickly connected with the battery buoyancy chamber by means of buoyancy of water, so that the sailing time efficiency of an overwater carrier is guaranteed, and the sailing cost is saved.
