Various embodiments of the invention provide a mechanism for capturing an object in a space. The mechanism comprises a rod, a slip ring, a plurality of first supporting rods and a plurality of second supporting rods, the sliding ring is arranged on the radial outer side of the first end of the rod and can slide in the axial direction of the rod; the first end of the first supporting rod is rotatably connected to the sliding ring; the second end of the first supporting rod is rotatably connected with the first end of the second supporting rod; the second end of the second supporting rod is rotatably connected with the rod; the rotating axis directions of the first supporting rod and the second supporting rod are parallel to the radial direction of the rod; when the sliding ring is located at the first end of the rod, the first supporting rod and the second supporting rod are in the state of being close to the rod. When the sliding ring slides from the first end of the rod to the second end, the second end of the first supporting rod and the first end of the second supporting rod are gradually far away from the rod. According to the embodiment of the invention, the lossless stable docking mechanism is provided, and objects (such as spacecraft wreckage) in the space can be recycled.
