The invention relates to a mooring line (20) for a floating platform, preferably a floating wind turbine platform (10), comprising: a first section (22) attachable to the platform; a second section (24) attachable to the seabed; at least one intermediate section (26) formed of an elastomeric material and disposed between the first section and the second section. The intermediate section can provide a maximum elongation greater than 100%, advantageously greater than 300%, of the rest length of the intermediate section. The intermediate section has a minimum breaking strength of greater than 18 MPa, advantageously greater than 25 MPa.
