Examples of systems (100) and methods (400) for developing personalized intervention strategies for an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) based on in-cab sensed data and related driving context information are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for a vehicle includes generating a driver profile for a driver of the vehicle, the driver profile including driving style data for the driver, the driving style data including at least: a braking style; the style is accelerated; turning styles; and one or more preferred cruise speeds of the driver; estimating a cognitive state of a driver of the vehicle; and adjusting one or more actuator controls of the ADAS based on the estimated cognitive state of the driver, the driver profile of the driver, and route/traffic information of the vehicle.
