The invention belongs to the technical field of aviation, and particularly relates to a side opening type service door serving as an emergency exit for an airplane and a mechanism of the side opening type service door. A pressure relief cam, a latch cam, a lifting cam and an inner handle for driving the first rotating shaft to rotate are arranged on the first rotating shaft; the pressure relief cam is connected with a pressurization prevention mechanism used for blocking a cabin door opening frame through a connecting rod mechanism, the latch cam is connected with a second rotating shaft through a connecting rod mechanism, and the lifting cam is connected with a lifting assisting mechanism through a connecting rod. The pressurization prevention mechanism is connected with a lock mechanism used for limiting movement of the second rotating shaft through a connecting rod mechanism. One end of the second rotating shaft is provided with a latch mechanism rotating by a preset angle to latch the cabin door body, the outer handle is in linkage with the inner handle through the connecting rod mechanism, mechanical logic control of all sub-mechanisms meeting the clause requirements is achieved through the cam mechanism, the limited space of the structure is fully utilized to complete arrangement of multiple mechanisms, and it is guaranteed that the cabin door is reliably locked when closed.
