The invention relates to a propulsion system (150) comprising an electric motor (108) and a reversible fuel cell (250) connected to the electric motor (108), the output of the electric motor (108) driving a propeller (110), the reversible fuel cell (250) comprising a cathode and an anode, a supply line (256) connecting the fuel cell to a dihydrogen tank (254), and a feed line (257) connecting the fuel cell to a temporary water tank (257a). As a result of the reversible fuel cell, this type of system allows the tank to be refilled with dihydrogen during midway dwell.
