Methods and systems are provided for road condition classification, the methods and systems comprising one or more sensors configured to obtain sensor data relating to operating a vehicle along a road by a person; and one or more processors coupled to the one or more sensors and configured to at least facilitate analysis of the sensor data with respect to one or more thresholds related to operation of the vehicle; and identifying one or more conditions of the roadway based on the analysis of the sensor data. Further, the learned input is provided to a vehicle control system to operate similar to a lane position behavior of a human-driven vehicle.
