A coupling and de-compiling method for FAO trains in an urban rail transit system comprises the steps that after a coupling-free train is parked on a conversion rail close to a non-collision section accurately and a coupled train is parked on a collidable section in a rail A accurately, the coupling-free train receives a coupling-free management instruction and enters a parking point working condition; the coupled train receives the coupled management instruction and enters a parking point working condition; the de-coupling train runs to the demarcation point and enters a de-coupling working condition, and a mechanical coupler located on a train head is controlled to stretch out; after the coupled train detects that the uncoupled train enters the uncoupled working condition, the coupled train enters the coupled working condition, and a mechanical coupler located at the tail of the train is controlled to stretch out; when the MA received by the de-coupling train is updated to the second end, the de-coupling train and the coupled train are subjected to coupling collision; connection between the uncoupled train and the coupled train is established; and the train after coupling executes end changing operation and then executes warehouse-out operation.
