A method for dynamically controlling an electrical load of a recreational vehicle includes: defining predetermined load shedding levels, each load shedding level corresponding to a reduced power output level supplied to an electrical device; defining the device load priority of each device; receiving and processing the battery data to determine a health of the battery; determining a total current draw on the battery while the recreational vehicle is operating; measuring an electrical output of the vehicle power generation system; determining a load shedding level based on the determined health of the battery, the current consumption, and the electrical output of the power generation system, the load shedding level corresponding to one of the predetermined load shedding levels; and selectively reducing power supplied to the at least one electric device from the power generation system or the battery based on the first load shedding level and the load priority of the at least one electric device.
