The invention relates to an actuating device (10) for preferably automatically actuating a charging flap (101) for a charging cable interface (102) of a vehicle (100), in particular a hybrid vehicle or an electric vehicle, comprising: a sensor device (11) for detecting a charging cable (103) in a receiving compartment (104) of the vehicle (100); and a control device (12), which is specially designed to actuate the sensor device (11) in the event of a detection and to generate at least one control signal (S1, S2) for actuating the charging flap (101) on the basis of the detection.
