The automatic parking method comprises the steps that in response to the fact that a vehicle is in an automatic parking stage, whether a braking system of the vehicle breaks down or not is detected; if the braking system of the vehicle breaks down, an energy recovery function is started to brake the vehicle so as to complete parking, by means of the method, under the condition that the braking system of the vehicle breaks down, the energy recovery function can take over automatic parking, and the whole vehicle degradation strategy that the braking system fails to operate is achieved; the vehicle can enter a safe state by means of the energy recovery function, and the safety of automatic parking of the vehicle is improved.
