The invention discloses an urban rail transit train operation control method and system. The method comprises the following steps that an initialization speed and an initialization position are obtained based on a train route diagram and train parameters according to maximum traction; obtaining an acceleration group corresponding to the initial control strategy based on the initial control strategy; according to the initialization speed, the initialization position and the acceleration group, calculating a train operation state under each preset time step length based on an acceleration sequence search algorithm and normal operation constraint traversal, and outputting an effective sequence corresponding to the train operation state; and sorting the effective sequences according to actual operation requirements, and outputting the effective sequence which most meets the actual operation requirements as a train operation control strategy. The method has the beneficial effects that the method only depends on the basic vehicle parameters and the train route diagram, a complex train model does not need to be constructed, the universality is higher, and the planning suitability and efficiency are improved while the accuracy of a train planning strategy is ensured.
