The invention relates to a load compensation type suspension system and a railway vehicle, and relates to the technical field of railway vehicle bogie systems, the load compensation type suspension system comprises an elastic supporting piece, a displacement sensing assembly, a control unit and a lifting assembly, the displacement sensing assembly is arranged in the elastic supporting piece and electrically connected with the control unit, and the lifting assembly is arranged in the elastic supporting piece and electrically connected with the control unit; the lifting assembly is connected with the elastic supporting piece, the lifting assembly is electrically connected with the control unit, and the displacement sensing assembly is used for converting the expansion amount of the elastic supporting piece into an electric signal and transmitting the electric signal to the control unit; the control unit is used for controlling the lifting assembly to lift or lower the height of the elastic supporting piece according to the electric signal. The vehicle height can be actively adjusted according to real-time data, the vehicle body balance is kept, the driving stability is improved, bumping and discomfort caused by vehicle body sinking are avoided, and therefore the riding comfort is improved; and external air supply is not needed, the dependence on external equipment is reduced, and the cost is reduced.
