The invention discloses a side air curtain which comprises a bag, the bag comprises an air inlet, an air guide channel is formed in a bag area located below the air inlet, a pull belt is arranged at the front end of the bag, and the bag further comprises a top cavity sewing thread and an oblique direct filling cavity. The head end of the top cavity sewing thread is connected with a top end sewing thread of the bag and extends towards the front end of the bag to be matched with the top end sewing thread of the bag to form a top buffer cavity, and a buffer air inlet of the top buffer cavity is formed between the tail end of the top cavity sewing thread and the top end sewing thread of the bag and/or the front end sewing thread of the bag; the oblique direct inflation cavity is formed below the top buffering cavity and extends from the front end of the air guide channel to the lower portion of the front end of the bag, and the end, away from the air guide channel, of the oblique direct inflation cavity communicates with the top buffering cavity. The front end of the side air curtain can be prevented from floating outwards from the vehicle window, and the problem that in the prior art, the air curtain is only rolled and folded, so that the air curtain interferes with the edge of the vehicle window or floats out of the vehicle window when unfolded is solved.
