The invention provides a'vehicle workload offload '. A system and method performed on a vehicle includes determining a selected Internet of Things (IoT) device from a plurality of IoT devices separate from the vehicle, wherein the selected IoT device is selected based on tasks capable of performing computations and/or stores including vehicle subsystems; decomposing the task into a plurality of workloads to be offloaded for processing on the respective selected IoT devices; and transmitting the workload to the corresponding selected IoT device.
