According to the method, the vehicle control unit in the vehicle serves as an execution main body, the remaining fuel quantity is calculated through the fuel injection quantity, the calculation accuracy of the remaining fuel quantity is improved, then the predicted fuel consumption value is calculated through the fuel consumption values of the multiple preset mileages, the fuel remaining driving mileage of the vehicle is estimated, the driving mileage estimation precision is improved, and the fuel remaining driving mileage estimation accuracy is improved. And the positive deviation or the negative deviation of driving range estimation is reduced.
