The tire monitoring method comprises the steps that current tire information collected by a tire monitoring unit is obtained; target working parameters of the tire monitoring unit are determined according to vehicle information and the current tire information, and the vehicle information comprises one or more of vehicle driving state information, environment sensing information and driving setting information; and controlling the tire monitoring unit to monitor a corresponding tire according to the target working parameter. The power consumption of the tire monitoring unit can be adaptively adjusted based on the vehicle driving scene, the damage to the power supply battery of the tire pressure detection system is reduced, and the service life of the battery is prolonged.
