The method comprises the following steps: acquiring vehicle environment information and vehicle state information; determining a target control condition matched with the vehicle environment information and the vehicle state information from preset vehicle lamp control conditions; the preset vehicle lamp control conditions comprise a first group of conditions for triggering and switching a high beam state, a second group of conditions for triggering and switching a low beam state, and a third group of conditions for triggering and entering a current vehicle lamp state; controlling the vehicle lamp to enter a state corresponding to the target control condition; wherein under the condition that the vehicle lamp enters the current vehicle lamp state, the vehicle lamp is restrained and automatically switched to the high beam state or the low beam state. The method can automatically switch the high beam and the low beam to ensure that the vehicle lamp state is matched with the actual lighting requirement, so that the driving safety is ensured.
