The electric scooter comprises a handlebar vertical pipe assembly, a double-layer pedal assembly and a connecting base. The two ends of the connecting base are hinged to the handlebar vertical pipe assembly and the double-layer pedal assembly respectively. The double-layer pedal assembly is divided into an upper-layer pedal and a lower-layer pedal, the connecting base is hinged to the lower-layer pedal, a saddle is arranged at one end of the upper-layer pedal, and the other end of the upper-layer pedal is hinged to the lower-layer pedal, so that the upper-layer pedal drives the saddle to be switched between a vertical state and a horizontal state; a containing space is formed in the connecting base, when the upper-layer pedal is in a horizontal state, the upper-layer pedal is used for being treaded by a rider, and the saddle is placed in the containing space of the connecting base at the moment; when the upper-layer pedal plate is in a vertical state, the saddle is used for providing hip support for a rider, and the lower-layer pedal plate is used for providing a treading surface for the rider.
