The invention relates to the technical field of rail traffic, in particular to a rail vehicle control system for regional intercity traffic, which comprises a central control center responsible for overall scheduling and monitoring of rail vehicle operation of the whole regional intercity traffic. Receiving information from each station, each vehicle, a meteorological monitoring system and a power supply system; the automatic train control system is mounted on each row of railway vehicles and comprises an automatic train driving subsystem, an automatic train protection subsystem and an automatic train monitoring subsystem; and the station control system is deployed at each station and is mainly responsible for station entering and exiting control of trains in the stations. According to the regional intercity traffic rail vehicle control system, efficient, safe and comfortable operation of the rail vehicle can be achieved, the service quality and the operation management level of regional intercity traffic are improved, and the travel requirements of passengers are met. Meanwhile, the system has good expansibility and adaptability, and can be continuously upgraded and perfected according to the requirements of regional traffic development and technical progress.
