A stopping device for an aerial vehicle is attached to a rail provided on a ceiling, and stops an aerial vehicle traveling along a travel path formed by the rail. An overhead vehicle stopping device is provided with an engagement part capable of engaging with a rail, and a main body part including a long member extending downward from the engagement part. The main body portion includes: a first detected portion that is detected by an obstacle sensor of an aerial vehicle that travels along a first travel path among the travel paths; and a second detection target unit that is detected by an obstacle sensor of an aerial vehicle that travels along a second travel path that is parallel to the first travel path among the travel paths.
