The method comprises the following steps: acquiring motion state information of a vehicle, wherein the motion state information comprises a current first motion mode of the vehicle, a current vehicle speed and a current position of a rocker in rocker equipment of the vehicle; according to a first motion mode in the motion state information, the current vehicle speed and/or the current position, whether a mode switching condition is met or not is determined, and a second motion mode to be switched when the mode switching condition is met is determined; and when the mode switching condition is met, the vehicle is controlled to run in the second motion mode. Therefore, the vehicle can automatically switch the motion modes, the motion modes of the vehicle are enriched, and the user experience is improved.
