The invention discloses an unmanned aerial vehicle search and rescue method and system based on the Internet of Things, and relates to the technical field of unmanned aerial vehicle control, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining the region information of a target search and rescue region, and marking a region with the average signal intensity smaller than or equal to a first target threshold value as a first target region based on the region information; dispatching the unmanned aerial vehicle to the first target area to execute a signal relay task based on the area information of the first target area, and starting to collect search and rescue information of the target search and rescue area; and adjusting a flight task and a flight path of the unmanned aerial vehicle based on the search and rescue information. The system is composed of an acquisition unit, a processing unit and an execution unit which are respectively used for acquiring area information, processing and dispatching the unmanned aerial vehicle and adjusting a flight task. The optimal ultimate position is determined based on various types of path loss calculation, and the success rate of unmanned aerial vehicle search and rescue is improved.
